    I think that's completely common! (I don't like using the word "normal").

    Every snake is different. My BP recently started pushing around his substrate after I changed it from aspen to cyprus mulch. He pushes around his hides ALL the time, too. And knocks things into his water bowl, like paper rolls, which soak up all the water... which I don't particularly enjoy.
    My other snake, who is a corn snake, digs tunnels quite a bit.
