Handling schedule for less than a year old? (And cage size question)

So I really enjoyed handling my guy when I could. Now I have him on a 4 day feeding schedule to get him to a good weight. When I checked him out last night he is starting to bulk up which is awesome.

But on a 4 day schedule, that leaves me only one day to handle him. Day 3, and of course that doesn't factor in real life, so while it may be the day I can handle him I may not have time. How do you deal?

And on another note, he's currently in a 6 quart container. When or what do I look for in deciding when to Move him into the 10-15 gallon tank?

The shortest feed schedule I do is 5 days but normally its 6-7 days. So id suggest goimg to a 5 day schedule if you want to bulk him up faster and still hold. Its a marathon not a sprint.

As far as moving to 15 its really peeaonal preference. I prefer to put babies in 15 qt with multiple hides and stuff in there to make them feel secure. But some people keep them in 6qts intil 300+ grams. Ive never hAd a problem woth the 15s. my smalles is 120 grams in a 15 right now.

    Hope this helps.

What do you consider a baby? I was on 5 days but switched to 4 because he was like 3 months old and only 80-88 grams... Next time I get him out I will weigh him and see how hes progressing.

That is pretty light. My 120 gram is only 6-8 weeks old. What are you feeding him? I would reccomend rat pups or hoppers that are between 15-20 grams a piece every 5-7 days. He should bulk up in no time.

I personally would still stick with every 5 days

I offer 1 rat pup every 5 days, and if schedule gets busy, seven at most. That gives me time to handle him between feedings, spot clean and see if hes going into shed and wants alone time. He's growing nicely to might I add. Never weighed him though, so couldn't tell you how fast he's growing.

I agree with feeding him rat pups. And as far as handling i personally wait just 24 hours after a meal. Never had a snake return the meal. Also I handle my BP when he is in shed and have done so with other BPs without any problems. Depends on the individual animal though i guess.

So I took him out today and he's huge! Looks twice the size he was when I got him. He's 145 grams today. And in shed, this is only the second or third time he's shed since I got him.
