That was my point.

If I had to pick one it would be #2.

The cost between a 1.0 Pastel and a 0.1 Pastel hatchling is nothing. As a female grows, her value increases. A 1200g 0.1 Pastel is going for $400+ these days while an adult 1.0 Pastel is still going to be worth $50 as an adult. If you ever want to breed, a 0.1 Pastel is a great starting block while a 1.0 Pastel really isn't worth much genetically for breeding.

Basically what I'm saying is that a female is a better investment no matter what you plan to do (pet or breeder).
