    My primary caution would be to make sure you take the cords out and make sure there are no loose threads or other "holes" the snake may crawl through, or try to crawl through and get stuck in.

    If you feel like it would have some added value as "decoration" in the tank, so long as there is no way for the snake to get tangled in it, I don't really see any harm. However, they don't need things to "snuggle." A really snug-fitting place to hide is probably the best "security blanket" you can give 'em. That being said, the snake may like crawling inside it and hiding within.
