Baby Ball on the loose!
Don't know how she got out, but very recently one of my small Spider morphs got out of her tub. She's young, just over 100g, so she could literally be anywhere. Just wondering if any one has any tips in trying to locate her. Heard stories of BPs going missing for months, just hope I can find her soon.

1) wait till night time to look, during the day she is 90% waiting till night time
2) take out a flashlight when it gets dark and start looking around the edges of the room, under things and inside things she could get into
3) go slowly. If you go too fast you'll spook her.

My first Ball Python escaped constantly >_< I always thought I had everything secured down as tightly as possible, but he was the sneakiest thing. I had to bungee jump his enclosure shut AND place mini sand bags on top. It was insane. I've never had another BP escape like he did.
Anyways some ideas: I used to set out heat lamps for him with a hide beneath. That caught him once. Another time I left out a f/t rat beneath a heat lamp and surrounded the area with plastic bags. That way I heard him when he slithered over them lol He was very fond of curling up in shoes and also in stinky gym bags. I found that with the lack of heat, they don't cruise around as frequently and just end up finding a nice dark place to chill out in.
Good luck, like I said, Hades escaped many times and always turned up! Good luck!

Majority of the stories of read on here the snake was found within 4-6 feet of the enclosure. Look in EVERYTHING. In drawers, in shoes, in bags, whatever. Look like crazy anywhere close by because she's likely to be there. If not, keep checking. You can put flour on the floor to see marks if she moves. Other than that...unfortunately you just need to keep an eye out and look for her!

Refridgerators, dryers/washers, and shoes are a first go-to.
Other than that, follow the other suggestions.
I fell asleep once while holding my BP. Found her 3 hours later cruising the floor of my closet.

Re: Baby Ball on the loose!
As everyone has said, look hard and look everywhere! Especially in places you don't think she could really be - they like small, dark spots. Check the back of your rack, too. Sometimes they'll be crawling along the back where the heat is.

The problem with this girl is that unless she's gone for several months, I don't think she would be hungry enough to take frozen. We just got her eating live after about 6 weeks of refusing anything f/t, and has only taken live twice, so unless she's really hungry she won't go for frozen. There's also 3 pet rats in the room so all the snakes are used to the scent of rat. We're going to turn the room upside down tonight and tomorrow. There's carpet in the room, so flour is out, but the plastic bag trick may work. She's also only about 120 grams, so there are a lot of places she can go.
