Hi, I'm new to ball pythons & I've started to see around on some forums of people talking about "this time of year". What do they mean? Also, could that be why my 4ft male is acting funny? I've had him since may & he was never very active. I got a bigger tank for him & he started eating great & was shedding all the time. I moved him to an even bigger tank in September to give the old one to my corn snake. Now, frost won't eat. He has been in there over a month now & I'm getting worried. Also, since being in the new tank 40gal breeder) he has been SUPER active. In his old tank he never really came out of his hide box & now he is out & about all the time, especially when the reptifogger turns on, he will sit right underneath it. I'm pretty sure him being so active means he is happy right? So should I be worried about him not eating or just give it a couple more weeks & try feeding him again?
Being active and going off feed is typical during breeding season. Unless he's already skinny he should be fine.
