Re: Rubbing on me?
Everytime we have her out I will look for Mites for a bit and never saw one yet. That was my first guess maybe she's getting ready for shed? The breeder said she was hatched 9-5-13.....Before I take her out I always use Hand Sanitizer because I handle my other pets a lot from cats, rabbits and sometimes my rat.

Re: Rubbing on me?
Just throwing this in the ring but could there be a hormone/pheromone/scent factor going on here? Aside from possibly cold hands or handling protocols, the snake could be really attracted/repulsed by your wife. Do you have other animals or any kids? Are they acting different around your wife? If you notice other entities acting different, then there could be something different about your wife. I had a dog act real funky with me one day and thought he was warning me of a heart attack. Turns out it was a bulging disk causing a pinched nerve in my neck.
Maybe the snake just doesn't like your wife. It could be your very own jealous ball python girlfriend who feels threatened by your wife.

I would say insecurity is the issue. Given time I think the snake will feel more comfortable while being handled.

Wow, how unusual.
This is may sound "how duh", but it seems like either fear OR affection.

That is what she is doing to my wife, with also head rubbing her arm almost like little headbutting. She's never did it with me as previous stated

I have one that does this. I attribute it to not feeling like he's got a good enough grip on me, as it only happens when he isn't firmly wrapped around me. It's like he's trying to get the traction to squeeze a little bit harder so that he can feel more secure. Especially if I'm moving. That has to be a bit disorienting for the snake, who is going to want to make sure he's hanging on firmly for the ride.

Re: Rubbing on me?
wow! i thought i was the only one with these issues. I'm a natural with my snakes and even those i just meet. i can put my hand in their container and they will come out of their hide and up my arm. but my wife is a different story. all snakes hate her and no one knows y. i have one female who will stay still when she holds her and seems content. my other female spider does exactly what yours is doing. but the interesting thing is all she has to do is walk by the rack and all my snakes either run to the back of the tub and curl in a ball or some of them will strike the front of the tub within seconds of seeing her.
funny story. just ordered a baby pinstripe. she wanted to open the package. the pin tried to bite the snake bag and almost come out of the bag when she opened it to pite her. I picked it up like nothing and walked around with it on my neck. the second he sees my wife, he lunges for her even if shes accross the room. so in the end maybe its just your wife. im a firm believer that there are some people snakes just hate.
