I have 1 30 gal tank and I want to get 2 more, but don't have the room for them unless I stack them. Does anyone know where I can get a rack for 30 gallon tanks. I have been searching online everywhere I can think of and can't find anything that looks like it will work.

I've never heard of putting tanks into racks. Sounds to me like it would have to be a custom job...and not an easy one, at that. You have to be able to slide enclosures out of a rack, and the glass tanks are very heavy, relative to the plastic boxes usually used.

You could probably just get adjustable-height shelving from either a hardware or kitchen section of an appropriate store and stack them using that.

That would work too, if you can find shelves deep enough to safely hold a 30gal. It'd just be a challenge getting into the tanks and cleaning them and such. But it's certainly do-able, I think.

Instead of getting two more heavy 30 gal. tanks get 2 rubberbaid underbed storage bins, I forget wich model number but at home depot they were 41"x16"x9" awsome size for full gown BPs. Lightweight, easy to clean, hold humidity well, and only 14 bucks a piece.

I was gonna say - we picked up something that would work for that at LOWE'S (home depot etc etc) a couple of weeks ago. A strong metal shelving unit with adjustable shelf heights - each shelf is about 4' wide by 2' deep. Stands a good 6 or 7 feet tall - requires no tools or screws. I tried to find a link to it but it is not on their site.

why buy 30 gallon tanks if you aren't going to display them? IF you really want to get fancy you can build the whole thing yourself. Using sliding glass or flip up doors. If you want to display this could work. it would be xpensive and time consuming but it sounds like you are more into a display than rubbermaid. I would recommend plastic myself.

Thanks! I didn't think of a store like Lowes/Home Depot, I think I will take a look at what they have today. I keep all my creatures in the living room, so I want them to be visable and look nice.
I never knew when I got my first leo how addicting this is. I now have 2 bp's as well, and I want more. Maybe some more leos, or a columbian boa. I just need to find the room. If I can put them in a rack I will be able to.

a "rack" isn't what youre looking for, i don't think. you need to just build a shelf big enough to hold a few tanks. i'll take a pic of my setup when i get home from work, i think you'll find that it's exactly what you're looking for. check back...
