i think aiming for lesser mojave or butter mojave or super mojave is the cheapest way. i think the other genes that can be used like mystic or phantom or special or mocha or het russo will be more expensive.

The cheapest are Het russos. I don't think they're as attractive as a butter, lesser, or mojave, which is why they're cheaper. They've always been cheaper than the other listed morphs.

2 Het russos to make white diamond BELs.

I ended up just buying my Bel, Rather than buy two snakes to eventually make a bel. Haven't regretted it one bit. it's been great to watch her grow from 87 grams to 1200+ grams.

I didn't go the cheapest route. I'm doing a proven lesser female and a '13 pastave male. I'm hoping for pastel bel's.

Super mojaves are still probably the cheapest to make or buy outright. But really, they're not THAT much cheaper anymore.

You might want to start with a mojave female, fatten her up for a year, and then pick some other gene for the male, like a lesser or a butter or a mocha. Or you could splurge on a special or a mystic and make potions or crystals rather than straight-up white snakes. Starting with a mojave female actually gives you a lot of options in the future.

But remember, if you start with two single-gene parents, the odds of making any kind of lucy are only 1 in 4 per egg.

You may as well go buy a BEL. The cheapest way is to buy babies in the BEL complex raise them up for a few years breed them and hope the female takes. Then is is only a 25% shot per egg that you hit a BEL. With all that waiting and money spent on rodents and what not, you may as well put 20 bucks a week to the side and in 40 weeks you can buy one out right.

What a coincidence! I just happen to have a Lesser/Butter Lucy that took his 5th meal today.

X 2 on this. Not only are the het Russo's generally cheaper, I also think they make some of the nicer Blue Eye Leucistics.
