I would say that medium sized mice are too small unless you are feeding two. I have two BP's that are just under 100 grams and they do fine with rat pups. Try a pup but you may even need to go one step bigger with yours.
+1 on this, my ~150g lesser and mojave are taking rat pups like there is no tomorrow.
imma weigh mine as soon as I get my scale..yours looks maybe slightly bigger than my boy and he is taking large mice. Which are slightly thicker then his fattest part of his body.

Everyone here knows better than me,I only have my first snake for 6 weeks now...but def I'd say make sure his enclosure is around 86-90 have the UTH set at certain temp,mines around 85 ( come winter I'll bump it up if needed)and my humidity is 40 on the avg and 60-70 during his first shed. I also leave a damp rag covering 60% of the top screen to increase humidity and keep heat in.
