    I think it looks like a snake that has passed its shed time and unable to remove it. I'd say you should go to 'how to fix a bad shed' protocol. Put the snake in a box with a damp but not soaking towel and let him crawl around in there for a while. When I bought my 2nd BP at Petco this is what I had to do shortly after purchase.
