"There's a lot of kids in this neighborhood " the cop said, like snakes are dangerous.
This makes me sad, more bad rep for snakes.

I suppose you should keep in mind that he did have venomous snakes with him.
But it does beg the question- since when were Boa constrictors considered dangerous?
