    2 new pick ups

So I got my female black pastel that I wanted. Exactly the image I had in my minds eye. Perfect pick-up for October because she is black and orange! Halloween colors! Cell phone pics

And my girlfriends pickup. We've been talking about adding one for a while now, and I gotta say this thing is the cutest little squish face ever! Came from a purple line and a red line. Don't know anything about hoggie morphs, we picked him based on personal preference. The collage is from the GF phone which takes better pictures. This guy is straight up red. Born on 10-3-13 and ate once f/t already.

So my last pick up I wanted was a female pewter...didn't find a single one at the show that met what I wanted (there was several there). Found the PERFECT one I want from a local breeder I've bought several snakes from. She didn't breed her herself but is willing to let her go because she knew I've been looking. Picking her up tomorrow...here is a pic from the current owner.

nice little hognose worm They can be rather fake-feisty, ball pythons only have hissing and striking/tagging. But hognoses can put on quite a display, they can dislodge their lower jaws to look like cobras, puff up, hiss, and do fake strikes / head bumps. Hognoses are cool, and the BPs also look very nice.

We've been watching videos of hognose's doing their display stuff and it's hilarious!

I love Hognose, and your BPs are beautiful. I have a regular pastel, but I really like the black pastels too! Definitely good October snakes haha.

You might want to steer around the possibility of hitting super cinnamon or super black pastel or black pastel cinnamon. That is, unless you are aware of the risks and make a conscious decision to not avoid them. I am fine with that since the risks are not too bad, you just need to know that in these combos a duckbill is rather frequent and risks for spine deformities are quite a bit elevated.

Nice pick ups!!! I could have sworn I saw a pewter there because I was thinking of getting it. I might be confused though, but I swear I saw it at Alan Coles Reptile table. I almost got a female black pastel, but I ended up getting 3 other sexy girls and guy lol. I still really want a female black pastel though!

Hey there! Glad you found such a nice black pastel at the expo at least! And that pewter is very clean! Definitely a couple quality animals.

    ...and who doesn't love hognose?

Yeah I saw several pewters (got there when the doors opened), but none had exactly what I was looking for. I was pretty convinced I was going to get the girl that I did, but I wanted to go to the expo first
