baby Ball Python not eating

I just bought a baby ball python yesterday the 7th and its not eating, the person i bought it from said it was eating regularly its a little on the small side not sure of weight. i offered it a thawed hopper mouse today. but it seemed to show no interest at all seem kinda "scared" of it to be honest. just wondering if anyone has some tips or insight.

You just acquired him YESTERDAY? He's had absolutely no time to get comfortable in his new surroundings.

Give him a week to settle in. Make sure his husbandry is on point, and LEAVE HIM ALONE for about a week. Then try to feed him again.

You just got it yesterday so give it at least a few days before even trying to do anything with it, including handling it. It is stressed from the move and now being in new surroundings. The important thing is to make sure the habitat is set up correctly. My last one went two weeks without eating and I wasn't even expecting it to eat then. It will happen, just be patient.

Understandable. Try reading up on a few care sheets, which can be found on this site.

Also, balls are very shy snakes. If everything is on point with the set-up, he will eat for you.

I do a 4 day feeding schedule for babies. It seems to work well for them.

ive got the setups all correct, 85 degrees in the cage, decent sized tub for his size. i just figured he would be ready to go, like a boa. this should be fun

Do you have a hot and cold side? Or is the whole tub 85?
What size tub? Do you have any hides?

The whole tank shouldn't be 85. The warm side should be around 88-90ish. The cool side should be 77-80ish. The humidity should be around 55-70% throughout the setup. You want to provide fresh water and at least two hides, one on the warm and one on the cool side, depending on how large your enclosure is.
