It is possible if its been really hot. I don't use anything in my water. If you are using black tubing it generally doesn't grow algae, if needed you can always flush it out monthly if you want.
I got clear tubing so I could see if there was anything in the lines. Also because that's all they had lol.
Update: So the rack is nice and dry after sitting outside over the weekend After much profanity, splinters and aching muscles, I finally have the majority of the system plumbed. All of the nozzles work and the tubing itself is leak free. However, being the innovative plumber that I am, I had the brilliant idea of just siliconing a piece of tubing into the reservoir rather than buying the tank valve. Epic fail. There's about a 1 drop per second leak at the joint :/ Then I figured I could shore it up with hot glue. Double fail. Needless to say, I'm now waiting for my tank valve to come in lol.
Without further ado:
I still have to remove all of the random screws throughout the rack, but I'll have plenty of time to do that
