Hello, all! Velox wants to say hello as well!

I just acquired a Ball Python recently, and I've been perusing the forums a bit for information on husbandry and the like. I figured I'd sign up and, well, introduce myself as well!

He's (somewhat ironically) named Velox, which is latin for swift, or rapid (which he has, so far, been neither). Unfortunately the only good picture I have of him at the moment, is him being a bit nervous, I don't think he likes the camera at all!

Thanks! He's still settling in a bit, so we're not 'talking' much, but he likes to look out of his tank in my direction every so often. Even if he's just assessing me, or maybe just staring off blankly, I wave.

I totally realized I didn't even introduce *myself*! I'll go back and edit that in, I suppose!

Edit: Or apparently I can't figure out how, since my first post has no "Edit Post" button. Hrm.

Well, I'm 25, from north of boston area. I particularly enjoy gaming, movies, the beach and reading. I just recently finished reading A Nameless Witch (wonderful) and Vellum (less so, but interesting). I've had a lot of pets throughout my life, from rats to ferrets, dogs to cats, hermit crabs to fish, but this is my first snake!
