Ye I agree, if a ball is properly taken care of I wouldn't think they would bite, but ye there are most likely feisty ones out there!

I have 8 BP that are all mice for the most part, het the occasional hiss from my pastel male. But recently I hot this little girl normal that had scares that cover about half of her body on her back only, the owner said she got burned by heat rock but not sure. She is mean as all get out. Eats perfectly very well fed. But when you come close to her tub you hear a boom cause she strikes. I can't open her tub without a strike from her. I haven't got tagged yet but I will. Even while holding het she strikes at anything and everything.

How old is he? He looks like a hatchling. I doubt very much it was a sperm plug, it may have been a piece of urate, that was hanging around in the coloca vent

I don't know his exact age, I got him from PetSmart, they kept a feeding log of him and he eats well, every Tuesday, but I am going to start feeding him a week after I got him so he can acclimate to his new home.

Main problem with people who do not have experience in popping is finger placement and pressure.

More often than not people do not apply enough pressure by fear to injure the animal which makes them unable to accurately sex their BP.

My advice found someone near you that can teach you, there are things you can get from a video but getting an idea of how much pressure it’s something you get when you are taught in person.

After that it’s all about practice.
