Figure it's time to introduce myself!

    Hey everyone!

So I've been around for a while, first as a lurker, then with a few posts, mostly just commenting on everyone's gorgeous animals.

I lost my first BP a while ago, I got her from a friend. Chubbs (snake) died shortly after I got her from unidentified causes. After asking a lot of questions and doing a lot of research, it looks like she had some sort of genetic defect. She was very small for her age (Mayyybeee two feet at two and a half/threeish).

I'd fallen in love and knew that I wanted to get another snake. I did a lot of looking and decided on getting a BCI next, contacted a well respected, local breeder, and, well, apparently he liked me. Lol. I got two baby boas, a tank, and a heat thing for $150. I named them Zeus and Luna, instantly realizing why so many people recommended boas. They're fun!

A couple weeks later, I got an e-mail from someone with a BP that needed to be rehomed ASAP as she was moving and couldn't take her snake. I arrived to see the snake and the woman walked out, plopped the poor critter in my hands, and that was that. So for another $150 I got a three-three and a half foot female Ball Python, her enclosure with everything included. This snake is a sweetheart! She watches me when I come into the room, sometimes even reaching up to the glass. She's been eating consistantly, shed well, and seems healthy and active. Though I do think she's a bit underweight, she's been fed adult mice, so I'm upping her to small rats.

All in all, I'm quite happy with my group. Gotta admit, I'm addicted. Snakes are awesome pets, and pretty low maintenance. Compared to my horse anyway, lol.

I'm going to make an attempt at adding pictures, here we go!

    Luna, my female BCI

    Zeus, my male BCI

    Artemis, my Female BP
