Well water
I live out in the country and we have well water. Would a ball python be able to drink this water? My guess is no because we do not even drink it ourselves and we do not give it to our cat, dog, or rat. I am just curious.

Re: Well water
Well water is fine...Sounds like you may have a problem with your water though...Is your water contaminated (well takes on ground water, etc) or does it just taste bad, like sulfur?

What is the reason you don't drink it? If it's safe for human consumption it's probably fine for your snakes but if it's contaminated (ag chemicals like pesticides or herbicides) then I wouldn't use it.

If you aren't willing to give it to your other animals, why would the snake be any different?

I would rather drink well water then city water any day. Unless of course there is something wrong with yours.

I was raised on well water. Unless you have an isolated situation well water is always more healthy for you then that city or store bought stuff that's full of chemicals.
Lets not forget the most common additive in city and bottled water is fluoride. Fluoride was considered toxic waste until Hitler started adding it to the water in concentration camps to keep people calm and passive. Its also one of the main ingredients in a lot of anti depressant pills. Australian scientists have found that its stunts the growth of teeth in small children. I'm not going to go into all the reasons why a government would want to pump that stuff into everyone's drinking water, you can figure that out on your own.
Bottom line is I would not give any unnatural or treated water to anyone in family or an animal in my possession. So if you have well water that isn't contaminated then that's what everyone in your house should be drinking.

I'm on a well and all of our animals are as well.(no pun intended)
If you have a pool company close to you they generally will test it for you.
