20 gallon long is great for a corn, it can stay in there it's whole life. Just make sure it's well cluttered if you're getting a baby.

You CAN use a heat lamp, but it's not recommended. Heat lamps tend to dry out the enclosure and don't provide the needed belly heat like UTH.

Corns don't need low humidity, they need normal household humidity of 30-50%

Corns are very hardy, but babies can be hard to care for as a newbie. I suggest getting a yearling as they are still small, but not as fragile.

I keep my corn in a 3x2x2 Vision cage on sani-chips with a UTH. Hot spot is around 88 degrees, household humidity is perfect. I only mist him when he is in shed. I use a LED strip to light up the tank.

If so you need to hook it up to a thermostat, that will regulate the temperature and keep it just right for your snakey! Also, you need two hides in there, one at the cold end of his tank and one at the hot end. Pack his tank out with extra hides, branches, all sorts of things. Juvenile corn snakes feel more secure with no open spaces, so that will help him feel safe. Juvenile corn snakes are more nippy than adult corn snakes. They need to be otherwise they wouldn't survive in the wild. That's the same reason why they spend the majority of their time hiding. Don't worry, it's completely normal for juvenile corn snakes to constantly hide - we never saw our boy unless we got him out and handled him

Easy to care for. Mid 70s - 80s temps, some bedding such as aspen or care fresh, a bowl of water and a hide of some sort and your good
