    Shedding Timeline

    Hi everyone,

I was hoping someone may be able to give me a timeline for shedding when it comes to babies. I have about a 2 month old for 2 weeks now and hes eaten a nice rat pup on 2 occasions, earlier tonight being the most recent. I was wondering is there a general rule of thumb when it come to shedding. IE typically after 2 or 3 feeds depending on feed size and tank conditions etc. Im not looking for anything exact just a ball park that i can keep in mind.

Here are a few pics just for sharing sake.

Depends on the size of the prey items, how often you're offering to them, and if they're actually taking them. Well-fed babies usually shed every month or so, but it depends on the snake. I would say, just looking at those pics, that your little one can handle a rat pup (20-30 grams) every 5 days.

I fed him a rat pup last Wednesday September 25, live, and then waited seven days till this past Wednesday and offered a F/T rat pup which he refused. Tonight I offered another live rat pup and he took it without issue.
