Pieds!

We are SO incredibly happy with this clutch I had to share . After a long road we finally hatched our first Pieds! We produced the mom in 2010 from a het Pied x possible het Pied. We missed on Pieds but she was cool looking so we held on to her. In 2011 we bred our male Pied to our 100% het Pied and she didn't go for us. Then in 2012 we bred our Pied male to our poss het Pied girl again and missed AGAIN. That year we also bred him to our 100% het Pied girl and she didn't go for us AGAIN. This season these guys definitely made it worth our wait.

I feel your frustration about finally producing your pieds, it took me 5 years to produce my first pied from het to het breeding, and three years later I have yet to produce my second.

It just kills me when I read posts saying something like 'Just breed your het morph-X to your het morph-X, produce 25% morph-X, sell them for a a lot of money and make your initial investment back in only three years....'
