    Wires

Okay so i have my thermostat's probe and a thermometer with the probe over my uth, and run it up the back corner of my tank and tape it there with packaging tape. But idk if its the tape but i dont want the following... 1. the wires to be exposed 2. for my ball to get stuck in the wires 3. i deffinately do not want him to get stuck on the tape. Hes a curious baby so hes always trying to get as high as he can get, usually in the corner where the wires are. Any suggestions??

You could get a piece of plastic or glass that is about an inch or so wide and almost as high as your tank. Silicone it in the corner at an angle. Leave a bit of space at the top and bottom to get the wires in/out. Just feed it behind that plastic/glass.

    Re: Wires

You could also affix the wires with Hot Glue. Of course make sure it is cooled completely before placing your snake back in the enclosure.

And what do you do when it comes time to clean?

hot glue and silicone are the ways to go.

i would use one of the two and just glue the wires right in. if something needs to be changed you will need to rip it out, but its not too much work to redo it afterwards.

with both, they get waterproof, so when you manage to get a nice smooth surface you can clean right over it. most importantly, unlike tape, after a while the stickiness completely goes away as the stuff hardens.

I never thought of hot glue, that's actually pretty smart. Thanks, everyone. (:

I have a couple of exposed wires. I'm generally not too worried about them, but I think I'll block them off or glue them down just to be safe. I've heard the horror stories about tape.

PLEASE be careful with hot glue! Get a good glue gun with temperture controls, I'm currently recovering from a full thickness second degree burn on my finger (it's been over two weeks and I'm just starting to get feeling back) from hot gluing clips on my ASF rack. Do not use cheap mini glue guns!
