If I were you I would said you preferred the nicest female over the male. This is simply due to females being more expensive then males.
I'm pretty close with the family that owns this shop, they always do me right I did get a female, and one that both my wife and the shop owners wife thought was the nicest so it worked out well. His wife is no slouch when it comes to reptile lol.
