Give her a bath and bump up the humidity. I had the same exact issue with my Ball Python just weeks ago. Completely healthy now!

Sounds like your snake is rubbing. Good thing on ditching the half-log hide! They're terrible anyways, they don't provide nearly enough security. Invest in two non-wood cave-style hides and watch for more rubbing.

They are not terrible. Many people use them and have stress free, healthy snakes. It's a matter of personal opinion, nothing more.

No, they are terrible and the only people who really have them are pet stores and what you see in the pics for craigslist of people ridding themselves of their snake.

Put your little log in your animals space with 3 other hides and see which one your animal goes to.

Picture please OP. I say bump up your humidity. No bath yet.

The log hides are also super nasty. They build bacteria up after a while of your snake peeing and pooing on/around it. One negative is that they are difficult to clean and sanitize. Better off just throwing it away after a few uses and getting a ceramic or plastic hide.

My Ball Python has a log hide and a rock hide. He uses both, regularly. We aren't talking about which hide is the best... The point is that log hides work.
Maybe they aren't the best (in "your" opinion) but your snake isn't going to parish or get stressed if it has a log hide.
