Re: A shady man, a rescue story, and normal ball python head wobble.

I COMPLETELY agree with not meeting someone at their house when you don't have a person with you, and even then it can be dangerous. I've just never had someone react so defensively about it. I do think that meeting someone in a public place is much safer. Yes I've only had Viper for one day but his disposition is so unlike what the guy described. He was literally warning me not to hold him in my hand because he would bite while balled up. He has not even balled up once since he's been in my care...and yes, only for a day. Everything put together that I witnessed with this guy just seemed shady. No, I can't outright say that he was abusing Viper because I really don't have too much proof. He stunk, seemed extremely scared, and is the opposite of what this guy claimed. If the same were being said of a dog, I'm sure people would assume that abuse had taken place. So, yes I am assuming based on what I've seen before me. I could really care less about the man, although I do wish that Viper had been in better care if he was being mistreated. But, he's in my care now, and I will make sure that he is comfortable and well taken care of.

Thank you so much to everyone that has replied and may reply in the future to this thread. It feels so good knowing that there are others that care about snakes and animals in general. I feel like I have new friends Can't say enough good things about this forum <3

Animals are MUCH better at reading other animals than humans are! Your new snakey friend totally knew what he was doing biting that guy and being chill with you! Trust. That. Snake. That kind of stuff always just reminds me...when the wildebeests run, you had better run, too!!

Although I do agree with not meeting buyers at your own home, how the hell do you know the OP is not telling the truth?? There's always got to be that one butt head in the group that's got to disagree with everything. Congratulations, you are now a troll.
