I need to build a cage because the snake will be here Thursday around 11am so I gotta build tonight to allow enough time for the silicone and paint to off-gas enough.

I'm thinking 3'w x 2'd x 4'h. That sound appropriate for a yearling DRMB?

I'm thinking a corner hide, corner water bowl, on opposing sides to the rear, a nice dogwood tree branch setup vertically to allow climbing to the top, flexwatt on the side by the hide, and possibly a covered lamp at the very top.

Tom said they don't really need to or like basking unlike other boas, and they even do well in temps as low as 60°. Guess these guys like cooler climates than BCI's lol. I'm guessing really the ambient temps of my house would be fine. We keep the place at 72°-74° year round. And supposedly they like their night temps to drop 5°-10°.

So maybe no heat at all. I dunno.

Oh an he said it is on rat fuzzies already. I can't wait!
