A quick question for you rat breeders
Hello again everyone :),
so today i opened my rat rack and in my isolation bin where i keep a single aggressive female breeder for now, there was lots of spots of blood in places. At first i thought she got cut but she looked to be fine until i picked her up. shes bleeding alot from her female "tiddley bits". i have never seen this before. is there any advice i can get from any of you guys? any feed back is much appreciated:) thanks for your time! :)

Re: A quick question for you rat breeders
Is she pregnant and maybe in labor?
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

She could be about ready to pop if she's pregnant or just goin through a heat.

Rats don't bleed when in heat. If she isn't pregnant, then it's probably an infection. She's might start bleeding again. If it is an infection, it can be fatal. Antibiotics may be required. In especially severe cases, a spay may be required.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
