    Nelsons milksnake :)

Hey guys, I'm looking at getting an Albino Nelson's Milksnake. I'm not sure exactly how big it is, or the sex of it, but I was wondering if a 20 gallon ex-fish tank would be big enough, and if I'd need an under tank heater and a lamp, or just the UTH? Any tips or advice would be much appreciated

the tank should be a reptile tank, not a fish tank, make sure of that. you wouldn't put a dog in a fish tank, so why a snake. the tank is fine as long as the longest side isn't shorter than the snake, and height isn't as important if he snake isn't arboreal. undertank heater is best for providing heat, but light is good for the snake, especially the diural ones. the tank size is important here because you need the capacity to have one side of the terrarium warm and the other cold. look up care sheets on milksnakes, that should tell you what you need to know. and you can talk to breeders too, but not pet store people. hope this helps and good luck.
