Hi im not sure if this is the right place to post this but ive been treating scale rot for a while now and ive been using 4%chlorhexidine soap solution, it has been working so far but i just recently built my own rack and i was having trouble with too much humidity so i was checking out my ball pythons mouth and i noticed a small brown spot in her inner lip. I then checked out my others and i found 2 more with the same thing so forst thing that came to mind was mouth rot. I searched it up to see what i could use to treat it and i found many threads saying that chlorhexidine would work to treat the minor mouth rot so i diluted the 4% chlorhexidine 50/50 with water and i used a q-tip to rub it on her inner lip. I then kept searhing to make sure i was doing it right and i found a couple threads saying i should use 0.05% chlorhexidine diluted 50/50 with water. I went out to the pharmacy and i found a bottle of 0.05% chlorhexidine in a 25ml bottle so i bought it but i dont feel 100% sure that im doing it right. So here are some pictres of the two bttles i have the first one being the 4% chlorhexidine soap solution and the other being the 0.05% chlorhexidine:
Does anyone know if im using the right ones?
Im using he 4% for the scale rot im just rubbing some on there bellys, this worked for me in my other bp's.
Im using he 0.05% for the mouth rot diluting it 50/50 with water and soaking my qtip in it and rubing it on there inner lips then rinsing the mouths out with water
