    Waiting a week for them to get settled is a pretty standard procedure. How long have you had him? If you think he might feed a little sooner than it might be worth trying but don't push him. I'd probably still wait about 5 days from the day you got him and then after that feed once every week on a properly sized rats. Some people feed more often, and since he's young it might be worth feeding him more. Someone with more experience with younger snakes will chime in I'm sure. But a week isn't too much for a healthy BP young or otherwise.
