    I Finally Joined the "Ball Python Bite Club"

    As the title states, I finally got tagged by a captive snake.
    My very first captive bite and from a BP to boot.
    Here are the photo's of the event.
    While checking this girl out at the CRBE today she literally bit the hand that was holding her.

    The "damage"


    Up real close (had to so you could see that she did break the skin and that wasn't just dust from ketchup chips.


    And, finally the little culprit.


    Needless to say, I couldn't have the first snake to bite me be someone else's snake so this little girl came home with me and tried to repeat her performance as I was placing her in her new enclosure.

    Really looking forward to starting her taming down after her settle in period.
    Not to mention growing her out and getting her hooked up with a snake boyfriend.

    Good call she is a Lesser. And, here I had heard dark snakes bite more than lighter snakes.
