Respitory infection cleaning question.

I have 2 ball pythons out of 8 that were rescued that might have RI.

I have moved them from the rack to the incubator where I can regulate ambient air to 88 and uth to 93.
Started fogging treatments as the er vets here are useless and I can not get to a herp vet until Monday.. I took the original tubs and bleached them with 20% bleach.

I have 3 other snakes in the same rack and I have started fogging them as a precaution. . They show no signs and when I inspected the inside of the mouth on all of them they look really good.

Do I need to tear down the whole rack and bleach it? I know it is highly contagious but I have never seen anyone comment on cleaning tubs etc.

If you would rather clean the rack in place, move the remaining snakes to temporary/travel tubs, wipe all surfaces with Clorox (or generic) disinfecting wipes, wait about half an hour (you can clean the tubs during this time), then wipe the rack down several times with just a damp cloth to remove any remaining detergent or bleach solution. Put the healthy snakes back once everything is dry. Good luck and I hope the two that are sick recover quickly.

Also today is feeding day, do I offer food to both of the sick snakes?

Neither one was ever missed a meal but didn't know if the stress of digestion would hinder the road to recovery.

I have and would. The only ones I've had with RI's also ate f/t, so if they didn't eat I'd just toss the feeders. Not sure how that would work with live.

I would at least offer them food and go from there. Are you mixing the F10 solution with your fogging treatment? You could also go to your local farm store and buy baytril and reduce down the dosage to your snake's weight if no vet is available in your area. I recommend this only if no other alternative is available and the fogging treatment is not working. Good luck!
