How to remove specifically stuck mites

I have no idea what paper weight you used or how you hold the the snake, but I couldn't get him in the right position to be able to position the paper - let alone being able to get it at the scale and try to put it under without it folding or bending away. I could not get the paper under the scale at all, I was able to poke the mite and almost get it out by just scraping at it with the paper, but I could not. There was no way to get it. I must have been doing it wrong because it is not easy and I cannot get it.

Hey Neal, If they are dead might they come off with the next shed without problem? I've never dealt with mites so I have no experience, but my gut would tell me that they would just surface with the next shed if they're dead?
