So my PC speakers are on the fritz. They've recently started going in and out on me. So I will likely have to replace them soon. I suppose it's about time since they are 10 years old now. Gonna see if I can fix whatever it is on my own but that is unlikely.
I have tried looking around the internets for potential replacements. I am surprised at how few good speaker systems there are now. Mine is 5.1 surround with a desktop controller with aux headphone jack. I cannot find anything similar except some Creative speakers that for some reason have those controls on the subwoofer. Really? Who puts their subwoofer on their desk?! All the ones similar to what I have are discontinued. Not even on Ebay can I find them. And for some reason most PC speakers are now 2.0? Why has the standard dropped some much?
In other news, I am going to try and make a homemade TV antenna tomorrow. My Clearsteam that I bought 6 months ago (which I was told was really good for being in the city) with a supposed 25 mile range just doesn't have what I would call good quality. Half the channels freeze up and it doesn't pickup the VHF stations at all. The farthest TV tower is only 12 miles away. And it's not like I live in the mountains with peaks and valleys. Going to try a copper coil antenna first since that is the easiest. If that doesn't workout I'll give the coat hanger dipole type a try.
Also, I need to start working out regularly again. I did P90X a couple years ago with great success. But I can no longer tolerate Tony Horton's voice. I also don't have a pull up bar anymore which was pretty essential to the program. I've seen this new thing lately called T25 that's apparently on 25 minutes or so and requires no equipment. What's funny though is that it's more expensive to get it used on Ebay than to get it new right from the source. What kind of sense does that make? LOL!
Lastly, after years of passing on it I decided to give Bleach (the anime) a try. Well, after almost 2 weeks I am on episode 150-somthing. It's like DragonballZ with swords and a better story. It's also uses DBZ time since in a recent episode "10 seconds" lasted about 10 minutes. At least they haven't has "5 Minutes" take 3 episodes yet. I am really impressed that the show works so well with managing around 100 recurring characters. Ranma was the last show I watched that had this many characters in it.
Anyways, that's all.
