    Sooo pretty.

It's funny, though- in that pic he looks like he's eating his tail, lol.

A couple other folks said that about eating his tail when I posted the pic in a FB group. He's a squirmy guy and that was the best picture I got

Here's Prissy again! Her belly is starting to get cloudy and she's kept herself pressed as close as she can get to the UTH for the last week. Right after this I disturbed her to see if she wanted the last two of the dozen mice I bought last weekend. She definitely wanted them. I don't know how she fits them in her being so round!

    Overexcited first time hoggy breeder!

No eggs yet but i have found two slugs scattered in her tank. She's still eating and has me baffled - she is HUGE tho. I'm trying to ignore her as much as possible so I don't drive myself to insanity worrying...lol. Here's a crappy pic of her sliding into her lay box a couple days ago:

Long time no update but at last I'm getting to it eventually! I think I didn't leave the male in with her long enough this year and she wound up laying all slugs. It was disappointing but I'm just glad she finished the season healthy and happy and I get to try again next year. Thanks all for the support and advice!!

Aww I'm sorry to hear that. At least she didn't become egg bound or anything. Out of curiosity, how many slugs did she lay altogether?

That's how it goes sometimes, but hey at least she's healthy enough to try again next year.
