    Incubator ?'s

Alright so I found what I'm going to use as the base, but I have some questions regarding the flexwatt and fan.

What size fan does it have to be and does it have to be a certain cfm fan? I have tons of fans lying around from different cfm ratings and most are 120mm though I do have a 200mm one.

Next is what size heat tape do most people go with? I was looking at 3" but I figure 4" could be more useful and would require less power.

That's all the questions I have for right now but I'm sure I'll have more when doing it. I won't have any issues doing the wiring or building in a fan speed controller.

The fan only has to be large enough to move the air around and keep a hot spot from forming at the top of the incubator. It depends upon the size of your incubator as to what size flexwatt you use. A larger incubator will require larger and more Flexwatt, a smaller one will require less. You don't say what the size of your incubator is going to be, so it is hard to give specific advise. Although, as long as you can maintain the proper temperature and have the air circulated, it should be OK.

Edit: I use 11" flexwatt in my incubator, but could probably get by with smaller. The larger Flexwatt seems to hold a more stable temperature for me.

It's going to be a 30 count wine bottle cooler, since it's the only thing I could find with a clear door. I don't know the dimensions yet.

Same, a wine cooler and I used 11" as well. Very stable, didn't need a lot. Maybe a 14" strip on the back. I'll be more than happy to provide pics for you when I'm done at the office. The fans I'm using are tiny, just enough to move the air.
