2nd: My Pied has eaten 6 rat pinkies since I've gotten him. She's going into her first shed with me. Tried to feed yesterday and she struck once but then showed no interest. Her eye caps are totally covered up so I can understand why she may not be eating. My other 2 snakes will eat during shed without issue. I know some snakes will not eat during shed and I'm sure there's no issue here but just hearing it from someone will make me feel a little better.

I worry about my snakes a little to much.
Were the rat pups fed weekly or did you feed them at the same time? I just want to be a bit more understanding before I offer any advice. I know you say he shed after the first rat pup, but was that one of the three you fed? I've seen some people type stuff up and mistakenly mean something else, so I just wanted to verify.

As far as your pied not eating while in shed that's okay. Some snakes will eat and some won't. I wouldn't worry about you because it's all a matter of preference to the snake. Her striking and not coiling is a defensive measure because something is coming near her, so just let her be until she sheds and then feed regular.
