    Black Axanthic Market

I wanted to put some feelers out about the thoughts everyone has about the Black Axanthic gene. I haven't seen many Black Axanthics available this season, and I wonder how strong the demand is for this mutation. I also haven't seen much discussion about the gene in the forums lately. Thoughts or comments?

I really like them and would like work with them in the future.

I think most people are holding off until some combos are produced.

Hopefully this year the first combos will be out. I know Justin is working with some pastel double het black axanthic/hypos. I'm really looking forward to that clutch in the next few weeks. I've jumped on board with the project and will be picking up a black axanthic from him soon. I think the project has HUGE potential, especially with combos like the ultramel, banana, and any of the bee combos. Of course, to see a black lightening pied would be amazing! I'd started to wonder if I was the only one who thought these were so damn cool!

I may go for one when the price drops but I have a limit on what I spend on a snake.

I've got my eye on the black axanthic as well. I had considered just getting a het male and taking the slow boat to black axanthic for myself since I don't see the price really coming down on visuals for a good while.

    Black Axanthic Market

I'll be sticking to regular axanthic until I see a combo I have to have. Hopefully by then they won't cost as much.

I would really like to get in on the black axanthic project. I've not seen their prices. I'd like to see a black axanthic puma or super spark. Black axanthic combos could be super cool.
Lots of BPs, and still not enough!

X2. Right now I'd rather spend that kind of money on more proven but still uncommon genes that perhaps haven't been combined with axanthic yet. Or ultramels lol.

Visuals are still going from $3000 to $4500 from what I've seen, but I only know of the Barkers and Justin Kobylka that will be producing them this year. I've got myself an ultramel project going as well, producing some 50% hets with hopes that my het female will give me a visual male next season I can breed back to prove out the hets

I'm crossing my fingers for some awesome combos to be produced this year! I'll be picking my visual male up Sunday, and I'm super excited!
