    MI Piggage!

Dahlia's clutch started pipping on the 3rd, and all but two of the eggs have now hatched. (Both are still alive and I'm probably going to stick them in the incubator to finish once I've had some more coffee.)

So far, 4 pastels, a normal, and a black pewter!

--sorry about the colors, this isn't my normal camera, still figuring it out.

    Very nice.

I have one question though, what kind of substrate is that?

The substrate was dried sphagnum moss -- I ordered it online, but home and garden places carry it, too. Some folks use it as an incubation medium, and it held up really well.

Ah, I was just curious because I couldn't place it. I have two bricks of that stuff and as a matter of fact I need to make some of it so I can put it in my Rufous Beaked tank because my little one has gone into shed which I noticed when I went looking for them today. He had those beautiful blue eyes!

Cool! I've kinda wondered . . . Do Beaked Snakes like to burrow in general?

Well, sadly, the egg that got gross didn't make it. Looked like the bacteria had managed breach the shell. It would have been a black pastel. But the other egg pipped this morning -- a pewter!
