Do you have a cell phone or old rotary phone? Do you still use paper maps or GPS? Embrace technology...ignore cheap stick on guages...My initial thought is just that the sensor is a thousand times more complicated than the gauge... but maybe I'm just a bit wary of electronics, since they more often than not seem to dislike me.
