    Hi there!

I've been lurking for several months so I guess it's time to show my face.

I'm Tal from California, 25 years old, and I've been bitten by ball python fever.

I started developing an interest in snakes in high school and college but was never ready to make the commit. However, thanks to tumblr and wonderful snake blogs on there, I've become completely smitten by ball pythons and snakes in general. I've gone from being wary to being in awe of how beautiful and adorably quirky snakes can be. Ball pythons have definitely caught my eye because of how placid they are (colubrids are just a little too spastic for my liking). The fact that I'm only five feet tall and most BP's don't get much bigger than four feet also greatly helps.

Unfortunately, due to two rather major factors, money and my fiance, I won't be getting a snake any time soon. It also doesn't help that our apartment doesn't have AC and the heat is only for one room (yay SF Bay Area) and the landlord has a pretty strict pet policy. I've slowly gotten my fiance to at least go from "eep snakes" to "huh, well I guess they are pretty neat but it's YOUR responsibility if we get one", so I'm hoping wherever we move next will a) have reliable heating and air conditioning and b) allow pets.

Until then, I'm content to bide my time doing as much research as possible and adding to rapidly growing morph wish list. :p

    Re: Hi there!

Hi! It definitely sucks waiting. I had to wait a year to leave my dad's because he absolutely hates snakes. :-(
