    Flexwatt how to

So, maybe I've just missed something, but I have seen that a number of people know how to wire Flexwatt, but I haven't seen a detailed tutorial of how to set it up for your rack.

Just wondering what goes into this, and what safety precautions need to be taken to prevent an accident from occurring....

    Re: Flexwatt how to

I'm not sure where I learned how to do it, but there are lots of videos on youtube.com if you do a search on "flexwatt heat tape installation".

My biggest confusion was what side was up and do you cover the entire flexwatt tape with foil tape or just the edges.
I ended up deciding to cover the entire heat tape with foil tape and either side up works.

Make sure you use electrical tape on the ends of the tape and on the connections. I double taped mine - just to be safe.

Yeah I've been wondering about this too since I'm about to wire up my first rack.

Are the vids reptile specific though???

I'm sure there are some Master Flexwatters on here that know extra stuff compared to the Youtube vids too....
