To me the color needs to be bright and the pattern needs to clean. I like some pattern on my clowns but not a bunch of dots.

Clowns - what makes a Clown beautiful?

A cool head pattern, lots of blushing on the head and back, a bright color, and fairly reduced. I'm not as obsessed with the pattern though. If it has the right color and blushing, i'm fine with a bit of pattern.

I'll use WOBP pic #s to reference what I'm talking about =p.
    http://www.worldofballpythons.com/morphs/clown/

Here's a list of characteristics that I personally look for:
Typical pattern (#10) : Black backed with perfect fat tear drops (not a fan of reduced patterns)

Dots (#10): I LOVE perfect round polka dots in the pattern, but it has to be neat and uniform, not randomly scattered. Either a ton of dots, or very few

Head pattern: Their head patterns vary so much - the more unique and crazy, the better! Can't find any of Jimmy Ma's clown photos, but dang they had such a wicked awesome head pattern !!

Color (#19, #3): I've seen REALLY dark brown clowns as well as high yellow-ish clowns, and typical brown clowns. The yellowish ones tend to be my favorite ...

Clowns - what makes a Clown beautiful?

This is my 2012 male clown. I LOVE him. I'm a fan of reduced patterns and bright golds. I also love very pronounced head patterns.

The pic is several months old, but you get the point.
