    Rack broke!!!

So yesterday while moving a couple of friends went to move my diy rack and dropped it!!!! It broke all apart :/ it was a big rack system when finished it could house 6 6qt tubs 6 32qt 6 41qt and 6 16qt tubs. They just dropped it on the front steps and boom all broke. S I had to put lids on the tubs last night i sat down to look at my snakes and same and empty tub :0 someone moved the tubs off of the counter to the floor and popped off one of the lids. My fiance (7 month pregnant) freaks out cause she don't like them and because the snake that got out was my ass hole pastel male that weighed 1600g. I found him not too far because he was boxed in. After a fee strikes and a few wiggles I got him and put him back. I couldn't find anything to tie the tubs with so had to use one of those awesome hoses that retract when there is no pressurized water. Fact of the matter is when moving tell everyone to stay out of your snake room or your day rack might get dropped and broken.

Next time just toss the snakes in a few Dollar store pillow cases. Tie a knot in the end and poof snake bag. .

Glad it all worked out for ya.

    Lots of hard lessons!

Horror stories include: Don't move the racks with the boxes still in it, Don't move the livestock on the first trip in case the door is locked or the a/c or heat not working, Don't use boxes and lids in case they slide in transit, Don't unpack the animals if you're paying your buddies for helping you move with beer and pizza................. I'm sure I have other bad examples I've blacked out! I move with taped delis or zip tied bags inside an igloo cooler. Worth the hassle every time!

Lol love the beer and pizza ones. Def need to invest in some pillow cases for next time.

Yikes!! Sounds like the kind of moving my in-laws have done when helping us a few times.... Except it was strictly furniture mishaps for me. I'm the only one that moves my animals. (Call it trust issues... but if it goes wrong I'll have no one to blame but myself.)
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.
