    I agree with starsky, I would also recommend a better probe. this one comes with a 80 elements R60, 3.5MHz multi-frequency convex probe. I use a 96 element 7.5 multi-frequency linear probe. the higher the frequency the more detail the image is. but you will lose depth. which isn't a factor with snakes. the 3.5 is a good frequency for ultrasounding pregnant women more than snakes. with the price of an ultrasound, the probe takes up a big part of it. do your research on them before buying, it's a big investment. mine was a little over 3000 and well worth it. no regrets.
