    Great!!!! Now, most of use the Acurite thermometer with probe to keep a eye on hot spot temp, stretch the wire across to the cool side under the substrate or run it up one side, down the other to limit wiring inside the tank. This way, the body of the thermometer is measuring your ambient temp, the probe keeps your hotspot and it also measures humidity.

    $12.00 at Walmart in the fan/home improvement section.
