    What color rat is this

    This rat appeared In a tub with one white male, 1 white female, and 1 tan/white female.

    He came out a blue/ gray color different than any other in the tub.

    What is it? Sorry about the flash throwing it off a little

    Looks agouti to me. But I'm far from an expert Hopefully one of the rat people can chime in!

    Definitely Agouti. The colors are recessive. There are 'base' colors that the animals default to when they don't have 2 copies of a color gene. The base colors are black and agouti. So that's a het fawn (the light peach color) agouti.
