I have used many different types

Ceramic ones - Heavy and bulky to carry downstairs to wash and I use to break at least one every time I would clean them too, so I gave up on those.

PVC Coupler and deli cups - Still have some animals tipping them so I moved away from those as well except for my males.

    Now I mainly use those

$1 each at the Dollar tree store, lightweight, plastic, work great no more tipping.

I honestly like these because they're not plastic:

    Decently priced too.

You can get cheap ceramic dog bowls at Walmart. Recently I started using plastic Rubbermaid bowls and use a wood burner to cut a hole in the lid and they dont slosh.

Until recently dollar tree sold $1 ceramic dog bowls.
They work very well for larger snakes, and I prefer ceramic because the big girls get cooler wrapping ceramic then they do wrapping plastic bowls.
