Help me pick between these morphs please! :)

I currently have a male cinny, and i'm looking at purchasing a male super pastel.. i'm not really sure what i want to make, i like all bp morphs, specifically ones that are yellow and bright but i think if i go with the super pastel, i could eventually get a female spider and make some bees!

i read somewhere that you should always make the males higher value than your females, so i'm kind of stressing on if i should buy the super pastel as a male cause i wanted to get a male spinner, how much would female spinners cost?

if anyone has any ideas on what i could do with a super pastel or a cinny in terms of what female morph i should buy that'd be awesome!

I wouldn't be too worried about which costs more. The reasonings are mainly financial, or are concerned with large collections. With small scale breeding it really doesn't matter.

A Super Pastel is great because all offspring will at least be Pastel. When paired to a Cinny each egg will have a 50% chance of being Pastel and a 50% chance of Pewter

The pastel gene works great with just about any morph, here are a few that turn out especially well

    Spider
    Fire
    Lesser/Butter/Mojave (BEL Complex snakes)
    Cinnamon
    Black pastel
    Pinstripe
    Yellowbelly

for more long term some cool recessives

    Clown
    Pied
    Orange Ghost

If you want bee's and like bright snakes get your female spider and a male firefly instead of a super pastel.

It's going to take 3 or more years for your female to grow to breeding size. If you want a super pastel, get a female.

I honestly say go for whichever one you'll be the happiest with. We can tell you what we think all day long but all of us will have different opinions and at the end of the day you may not really be happy with what the majority chooses.

I also think that if you like really bright BPs go with a Firefly, always bright and beautiful. As to the male vs female for your higher end stuff, I think it is a matter of your breeding plans and your future goals. We keep a pretty mixed balance of both. Some males we get due to wanting to be able to reproduce sooner rather than later. However, we have some very high end morph girls that we have grown up over the years and continue to do so. Again, think long term goals and plans. Good luck!

Go with a female. Get a morph you like. You will be getting more soon after. BP's are like pokemon; gotta catch them all!
